**********Contains Spoilers**********If you don’t like insta-love low-angst happy stories then this book isn’t for you. I really enjoyed this book. As soon as I started reading about Lennox’s interactions with his dr who invited him to stay and all the secrets and that he didn’t actually want to hear about Lennox’s parents death and all the other red flags that were popping up in their other interactions as Lennox was only 14 when they met and 18 when he left St Joseph’s but even if he was older it’s still creepy as they’re dr and patient. I knew he was bad news as he’s meant to be a psychologist so I’m glad Lennox got away from him when he tried to attack him and nothing extra bad happened, it was still a horrible situation. I loved how he also rescued Freddie the badly treated adorable dog when he left. When they had nowhere to go and hadn’t eaten much in the nearly 2 weeks that they were running for, they found Lach’s bakery and Lach recognised that Lennox his little lamb was his mate, even though both Lennox and Freddie were frightened after everything they’d been through he brought them inside when Lennox passed out and as soon as Lennox was awake he fed him and gave freddie his own plate of bacon. It takes Lennox a wee minute to trust Lach but he knows that if Freddie is happy to be here then they must be safe as dogs are pretty good judge of character. I loved how Lennox and Brodie became the best of friends and I loved seeing how happy and excited Lennox was a trying new things and getting the hang of it, like baking with Lach. I’m looking forward to reading Evan’s story next. I don't know how Jayda Marx does it but every book just gets better and better. This was the perfect continuation of the Duff Coven series and I absolutely devoured every word. Poor Lennox had such a rough life before finding Lachlan and the two of them are absolute perfection together. Of course, all our old friends from the Javier Coven are back and it feels a bit like seeing family again. This group of Vampires and their mates is utterly addicting and I fervently hope that we see more of them in the future. On a side note: Sam! Sam! He's still my saucy, naughty favorite! 😁 I'm completely hooked on this series and can't wait for the next installment.
